Printer calibration · 10 minutes
Teach FitPrint how your printer prints holes.
Every printer, nozzle and filament prints holes a little smaller and pins a little bigger. Print this tiny coupon once, find the hole your pin slides into, and every model FitPrint generates is compensated for your machine.
Rendering coupon…
Plate with 6 test holes + one 6 mm pin · ~4 g · prints in ~10 min
- 1Print the coupon with the printer, nozzle and filament you normally use for functional parts (0.2 mm layers, no supports, no brim).
- 2Let it cool. Each hole is marked with dots: 1 dot = 6.1 mm … 6 dots = 6.6 mm. The pin is exactly 6.0 mm.
- 3Starting at 1 dot, push the pin straight in. Pick the first hole where it slides all the way through with light finger pressure — no wiggle, no force.
- 4Select that hole below and save. Done — your fit gap is used for every new design.
Which hole fit?
None fit, even 6 dots? Your printer over-extrudes — calibrate flow first. Fits loosely already at 1 dot? Choose 1 dot. Stored only in this browser.
