Hose adapters
Hose and vacuum adapters between any two sizes
Shop vacuum to sander, 32 mm hose to 40 mm port, aquarium tubing, garden hose: adapters are simple in theory but only work if both ends fit. FitPrint asks whether each end slides inside or over the other part, which diameter you measured (inner or outer), and builds a tapered or stepped adapter with the right clearance.

- Outer Ø of the part that goes inside, inner Ø of the part it goes into

Tips
- A slight taper (1–2°) gives a tight friction fit over a range of diameters.
- Print with 3–4 perimeters for airtight walls; PETG is more durable than PLA.
- Add a stop ring so the hose can't slide too far.
Frequently asked questions
Will it be airtight?
With 3+ perimeters and a friction fit it is airtight enough for vacuums and dust collection. For water pressure use PETG and test carefully.
